Does your DNA reveal Scottish or Irish ancestry, but you don’t have any in your tree? That happened to me!  Join me as I take you through my Gaelic journey searching for royalty for my mother! This intriguing journey took me through the history of Scotland, a land of two peoples, and how it’s intertwined with that of Ireland. Then follow the Scottish diaspora around the world as they fled the king’s wrath.  I’ll share tips to help you with your search along the way! Coffey This class will be held online only via Zoom. Register using the button at the right Register Registration for the Annual PGS Genealogy Seminar is now Open The Pinellas Genealogy Society is pleased to announce our annual Genealogy Seminar on 24 February 2024. This all-day, hybrid event features J. Mark Lowe, professional genealogist, educator, and author. During this day-long hybrid event, Mark will give four presentations that will hold something for everyone. The topics are: (1) “Ready-Set-Plan! Developing a One-Step Research Plan,” (2)“Documenting the "Right" Family While Staying on Track,” (3) “Making Those Early Census Records Talk to You,” (4) “Finding Your Landless Ancestors.” Registration fee is $35 for PGS members and $40 for non-members, whether in-person or online over the Internet. Box lunches will be available for purchase at the time of registration or you may order directly from the on-site café after check-in on the day of the seminar.
