The Zion Cemetery in Memphis was established in 1876 and has at least 25,000 burials by 1925. It was abandoned in the 1960's.
The Zion Community Project was begun in 2005 to restore and preserve the cemetery. The landing page will give you some background of the project and provides a "Search" link to search the database. Also available is a video focusing on the history of the cemetery and photos of the restoration effort.
