Thanks to the Porter County Public Library in Michigan for several genealogically relevant indexes. From the landing page scroll down a bit and click on the "Indexes" tab. From there take your pick of the various indexes available.
The offerings are tantalizing if you have ancestors who lived in this area of the country: military records, obituaries, marriages, divorces, coroner's inquests, newspapers, etc.
