Thanks to Lisa Cooke for this tremendously helpful article on how to browse records at Ancestry.com. Yes, "browse" rather then "Search."
Sometimes the record set you found has not yet been indexed by Ancestry so browsing the images is the only recourse you have. But other times the records are searchable and you are still given a browse capability.
Lisa discusses both scenarios and shows how browsing can work to your advantage. She gives step-by-step instructions on how to do it, and provides lots of pictures to be sure you don't get lost along the way.
