People are acquainted with the websites such as FamilySearch, Ancestry, Find My Past and others used for genealogical research. However, additional online resources are available to those who are researching their Family Tree - the State Archives. Rue Lynn will present how to use State Archives and Libraries, the treasures that can be found in these archives, and the resources available at Historical/Genealogical Societies.

Wednesday, 16 Sep 20 at 3:00 PM--West Pasco County Genealogy Society program meeting and presentation will be hosted by president, Debbe Hagner. The topics will be “A Basic Overview of Roots Magic,” and “Top Genealogy Research Websites.” Debbe will share guidelines about using Roots Magic and what is on the horizon with the software. Many of us have been using the COVID-19 down time to work on our genealogy, so knowing the best sites to utilize for your research – both free and subscription sites – will enable you to get the “best bang for your buck.”
