Lisa Louise Cooke gives us an interesting article about the Social Security Death Index (SSDI). In it she give its historical background as well as tips on how to use it.
Interestingly, she compares how the various big data providers (Ancestry, MyHeritage, FamilySearch, and Findmypast) handle the SSDI information.
