The Seeking Michigan website has several collections of online documents and may be of interest if you have ancestors from that area. They include death records from 1897 to 1952, state censuses from 1827 to 1874, Civil War Volunteer Registries, and Civil War Photographs.
When searching the death records, either use the first or last name alone, or put the full name in quotation makes. Using the full name with no quotes apparently leads to "no hits."
