PM--Swedish Genealogy Interest Group--Sherry Brocker will present a program on the exhibits
at the Swedish American Museum, Chicago, Illinois. The exhibit is called A Dream of America: Swedish Immigration to
Chicago. The program will explore the causes of and the experiences during
emigration as well as life in their new home.
After
this presentation, Don Ekberg will talk about his Family Tree DNA project that
focuses specifically on those with Swedish ancestry. Charest, Local

class will demonstrate how to search the vast databases available on this
rapidly-expanding site made available from the LDS (Mormon) genealogy

Fold3 is an online database focused on digitized military records. It is a fee
site that is free if accessed at or through the Largo Library. This
presentation explains how to get the most out of using it. The Godfrey Library
databases are a recent subscription available at the Largo Library. This
collection of databases focus mainly on the New England states and offers
information not available on other websites. This presentation focuses on what
the site offers and how to use it in your research. Summers, Local History Room,
